Welcome to the Edwards genealogy and Edwards family history of Virginia website for descendants of Brice Edwards of Patrick County, Virginia and his wife, Jane Rakes.

This website is dedicated to the memory of Bess and Trigg Edwards. It is also dedicated to all the descendants of Thomas Edwards, Sr., d. 1751 Lunenburg County, Virginia, our oldest known Edwards' ancestor.

Our goal is to provide information to the extended Edwards family and to provide a place to share recollections or precious memories. If you have a memory that you would like to share or a special story that you recall about one of our loved ones, please let us know.

We are excited to announce that the book, Ancestors and Descendants of Brice Hamilton & Sarah Hay Edwards, by our own Susan Jurban is available. This book should be of importance to anyone having an interest in the Edwards and Hay families of Dickenson County, VA, especially in the Brice Hamilton & Sarah Hay Edwards family. As well as others interested in information on Thomas Edwards, died 1751 in Lunenburg County, VA; and John Hay, died 1799 in Charlotte County, VA. The book includes photographs, maps, deeds, wills, military records and is divided into eight chapters on the Edwards and Hay ancestors.
